Overview of PFB "The Nutcracker" Now in its 15th season, The Nutcracker stands as Pacific Festival Ballet's premier production and most anticipated performance of the year. Showcasing the talents of professional dancers and students alike, this holiday classic features elaborate costumes depicting snowflakes, rats, soldiers, baby mice, Mother Ginger, and her bon-bons as well as a growing Christmas tree and booming cannon.Each year, audiences thrill and delight to grace, skills, and breathtaking leaps of over 100 children from Portland and the surrounding areas of Beaverton, Tualatin, Canby, Silverton, Gresham, West Linn, St. Helens, Boring, Hillsboro, Lake Oswego, Tigard, Dundee, and southwest Washington.
